A certified translation is a translation made or certified by a translator named for this purpose and for the given language by a regional or municipal court.
Most often this involves the translation of personal documents such as birth certificates, marriage licences, and school transcripts, as well as extracts from the Commercial Register, from the Criminal Records Register, contracts, diplomas, medical documents, etc.
The translated text is attached to the original and a translator’s endorsement with a round stamp is affixed to it, which is an integral part of the translation. If you want to keep the original document, it is necessary to supply a certified copy of the document (provided by a notary or by Czechpoint).
