For our purposes, proofreading is the correction of grammatical, spelling, or stylistic errors in a translation. Basic linguistic proofreading, including a check that the translated text is complete, is part of every order and is performed by someone other than the translator. Beyond the scope of basic translation quality, we recommend ordering specialized revision and if needed pre-press proofing of every document that will be presented to the public in any form. The reviser will then check not only spelling, grammar, and style, but also the content of the text, the typographic customs of the target language, and graphic design, which must match the original. Proofreading can also be ordered separately, without translation.
The price of proofreading is around 30 % of the price of translation.
